Dear Rosalani Students, Kurt Vonnegut grew up in the little town where I went to high school. Like so many of us, he had the idea of “achievement” baked into him so deeply, that he believed that he would never be good at music. Then he met someone who believed, as I do, that learning music is something to be enjoyed. And from that enjoyment comes mastery eventually. But all along the way, there is the enjoyment.
I love sharing exciting performances and projects that my former students create. Andrea Cortez plays beautiful sound medicine and works with plants (yes, plants!) to share music that blooms. Way to go, Andrea!
“Thank you to @bossbabesatx and @babesfest for creating the space for sound medicine with harp and plant music. 🌱🌱🌱
We had 2 outdoor sessions on Saturday and I know there was a mutual feeling of gratitude to be able to gather safely.
Music as medicine creates a space that is healing on many levels. It is a beautiful practice to bring into your day. To be present with sound, harmony, and rhythm brings balance to the mind, body and heart.
Events always posted to the calendar on my profile @mindbodymusiccenter”
Hey Friends, I’m working on new articles about playing the piano. Whether you are a harpist or not, if you could sit down with me in my studio, beverage in hand, what would you like to ask about how to play the piano?
