After a successful career in corporate life, she changed careers to music in 2007, inspired by her belief in the transformative power of sound. She currently curates a 2500-member Facebook group called The Improvising Harpist where she leads monthly improv classes. She’s also writing a new book called The Improvising Harpist Cookbook: 21 Recipes for Tasty Improv.
An award-winning harpist, Cymber’s repertoire spans classical, jazz, and world music. She has performed on National Public Radio, Hawaii Public Radio, and various online platforms. Her podcast, Relaxing Harp Music, was recently ranked among the Top 5 Best Harp Podcasts by Player.fm. Cymber has released three albums of healing harp music, earning five Big Island Music Awards, and has been recognized as a Music Achiever by the National League of American Pen Women.
