Meet my grandmother, Rosa.
She’s my musical inspiration, a classically trained pianist, who raised 6 children and played church organ well into her 70s. She now resides in heaven (“Lani” in Hawaiian), so I named this music studio for her: Rosalani.
She believed music should be fun and shared with family, friends and audiences. And she believed learning as much as possible both by ear and by reading and writing music.

She started as a classical pianist and organist, but as was the custom in those days, she set aside a career in music to have a family instead. She passed her knowledge and love of music through her children, grandchildren and beyond.
I dedicate this studio and the love of my students to her memory and her music.
